Shmuel Avrohom Brill is a Managing Director of SB Law Asia. Originally from New York City, Mr. Brill has lived and worked in Thailand for many years. He has extensive experience in a wide variety of legal services for both individuals and corporate clients in the United States and Thailand. Whilst in New York City, Mr. Brill practiced law at a major international law firm, where he was responsible to a wide variety of clients, including global investment banks and brokerage firms, pharmaceutical companies, advertising agencies and international accounting firms. Prior to this, Mr. Brill spent eight years in specialty, in-house, legal services programs at New York University Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Mr. Brill has served on executive boards providing legal advice to numerous professional organizations in the United States, including the Association of International Educators, the Association of Healthcare Human Resource Administrators and the Association of Downstate New York Academic Medical Center Advisors.

Educated at Carmel College, he obtained his law degree from the Royal Victoria University of Manchester and his professional qualification from The College of Law, London. Before moving to Bangkok, he was the senior partner of Bonds Solicitors, a 5 partner commercial law firm in London W1, specializing in commercial, corporate and property law. He and his firm represented major property developers and investors and was responsible for many high profile transactions including well known London landmark investments. He was the lawyer for the Hyde Park Trust, which created the Queen Elizabeth Gates in Hyde Park London erected in honour of the Queen Mother. He has lived in Bangkok for the last 20 years and is the Senior Consultant of SBLAW ASIA, the firm he founded 13 years ago.

David is an English Solicitor, with a Master’s Degree in Shipping law and is a Barrister in Hong Kong. He has a postgraduate Certificate of Laws from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He specializes in corporate and commercial law and dispute resolution. He advises international companies and is an experienced litigator. His record includes: Lead counsel and winning party in multi-million USD THAC international trade arbitration for Dubai client. Lead counsel and winning party in multi-million USD THAC international trade arbitration for New York client. Leading counsel and winning party in multi-million USD ICC international trade arbitration for Israeli client under US law and choice of Los Angeles as venue.

Khun Mak is known amongst his peers as “A lawyers’ lawyer.” His is a consummate trial lawyer and when not in court, he is much in demand by commercial clients who seek guidance prior to embarking on new ventures. He has benefitted from the fac that lawyers in Thailand are not restricted to one discipline. As a commercial practitioner, he is as comfortable with, for example, complex land law actions as with criminal cases. He is a lawyer for serious cases.

Khun Nawa is a licensed Thai lawyer with a lifetime’s experience in litigation. Her expertise in matrimonial actions is unparalleled; she has won cases which other lawyers would not accept and created a path to victory upon which other lawyers rely. She has the knack of communicating sympathetically with clients going through difficult break ups and as a result is much in demand. She is bilingual; Thai and English. She is also highly skilled in Criminal law and has developed strong relationships with both the Police and Prosecutors, which has proved to be a valuable resource.
