Shmuel Avrohom Brill is the Managing Director of SB Law Asia. Originally from New York City, he has lived and worked in Thailand for many years and leads the firm’s representation of individuals, families, entrepreneurs and businesses throughout the Kingdom. His work encompasses civil and commercial litigation, criminal defence, family law, property matters, wills and estates, and corporate and contractual matters.

Before moving to Thailand, Mr. Brill practised at a major international law firm in New York City for over eleven years. His clients included global investment banks and brokerage firms, pharmaceutical companies, advertising agencies and international accounting firms. Before that, he spent eight years managing specialised in-house legal services programmes at New York University Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Mr. Brill has also served on the executive boards of professional organisations in the United States, providing legal and strategic guidance in the fields of international education, healthcare and academic medicine.

His approach to legal practice is grounded in honesty, careful judgement and a genuine understanding of the personal and commercial realities facing each client. He believes that effective representation begins with listening carefully, identifying what truly matters and providing candid, practical advice about the best way forward.

Paul Anthony Bond is a British Solicitor and the Senior Consultant of SB Law Asia, which he founded after moving to Thailand. He brings extensive experience in commercial, corporate and property law developed over a legal career spanning the United Kingdom and Thailand.

Mr. Bond was educated at Carmel College and obtained his law degree from the Royal Victoria University of Manchester. He subsequently completed his professional qualification at The College of Law in London.

Before relocating to Bangkok, Mr. Bond was the senior partner of Bonds Solicitors, a five-partner commercial law firm in London’s West End. His practice focused on commercial, corporate and property matters, and he represented major property developers and investors in numerous significant transactions, including acquisitions and investments involving prominent London landmark properties.

Mr. Bond also acted as legal adviser to the Hyde Park Trust in connection with the creation of the Queen Elizabeth Gates at Hyde Park, which were erected in honour of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

Having lived and worked in Bangkok for many years, Mr. Bond contributes substantial international experience and commercial judgement to the firm’s work. His approach combines careful legal analysis with a practical understanding of transactions, investment and the commercial objectives of each client.

David Sothern is an English Solicitor and a Barrister at QED Chambers in Hong Kong. He divides his professional time between Thailand and Hong Kong and advises individuals and businesses on corporate and commercial matters, dispute resolution and international arbitration.

Mr. Sothern holds a master’s degree in Shipping Law and a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His cross-border qualifications and experience enable him to advise clients on complex matters involving multiple jurisdictions, legal systems and commercial interests.

He has substantial experience representing international companies in significant commercial disputes. His work has included acting as lead counsel for clients from Dubai and New York in separate multimillion-dollar international trade arbitrations before the Thailand Arbitration Center, as well as acting as leading counsel in a multimillion-dollar ICC international trade arbitration conducted under United States law with Los Angeles as the agreed venue. His clients prevailed in each of these proceedings.

Mr. Sothern combines careful legal analysis with a strong understanding of international commerce and litigation strategy. He provides clients with practical, commercially focused advice while remaining attentive to the procedural and strategic considerations that can determine the outcome of a dispute.

Sumet Inthong is a Thai Barrister and an experienced trial lawyer whose practice encompasses civil and commercial litigation, criminal defence, property disputes and complex land matters. Known to colleagues and clients as Khun Mak, he is respected for his courtroom ability, careful judgement and capacity to handle serious and demanding cases.

Mr. Inthong’s broad litigation experience enables him to examine a dispute from both legal and practical perspectives. He is equally comfortable representing clients in contested proceedings and advising individuals and businesses before a dispute arises or a new commercial venture is undertaken.

His approach combines thorough preparation with clear strategic thinking and determined representation. Clients value his ability to identify the central issues in a matter, explain the available options and pursue an effective course of action suited to their circumstances.

Netirada Galpat is a Thai lawyer and Barrister with extensive experience in litigation, family law and criminal defence. Known to clients and colleagues as Khun Nawa, she regularly represents individuals facing difficult and highly personal legal matters.

Ms. Galpat has particular experience in matrimonial and family proceedings, including divorce and related disputes. She is known for approaching sensitive cases with empathy, discretion and careful attention to the practical concerns of each client, while providing firm and effective representation throughout the legal process.

She also handles criminal matters and has substantial experience dealing with the police, public prosecutors and the Thai courts. Fluent in both Thai and English, she is able to communicate clearly with Thai and international clients and guide them through unfamiliar or stressful proceedings with patience and understanding.
